You can wash dye into your hair and within an hour you can go from a dark eyed dark haired person to a blue-eyed blonde. The ability to use the colored contact lenses to change eye color can help a person pass through security checks at airports and traffic stops with a false identification. There were times in the past if someone simply dyed their hair or work a wig of a different color the eyes would still is different. This may have not been a big deal unless the security person doing the checking was for any reason suspicious. I did not think the coloredcontactlenses would make a big difference until I saw my niece with them on.
 
My niece is a blonde with blue eyes. She has rather pale skin. She was very determined to surprise her husband by showing up on a trip that he was going on.
