Ordering Contact
Lenses - Tips
I remember a few years ago my brother told me he needed to
contact lenses. He did not want to go back to his eye doctor,
because his eye doctor was over an hour away. Instead he wanted to
try ordering contact lenses online. The problem with this was that
he did not have an actual prescription for his lenses. He looked
through all of his paperwork, and could find nothing. Then he
remembered that he had never actually been handed anything from his
eye doctor. He had been given a prescription for glasses, but there
was not anything in writing for his contact lenses.
He went online to see what he had to do about ordering contact
lenses. Though I think the site he went to was 1-800-Contacts, I
have no idea. Whatever the site was, they told him that many
doctors will not give out a prescription for contact lenses because
they do not want them to buy anywhere else. After reading this
e-mail, my brother decided that he was going to go ahead and order
his lenses anyway. The site told him that when
orderingcontactlenses all he had to do was look at the side of his
contact lens boxes. The prescription for the lenses was right
there. Once they had his order, they would call to confirm with his
doctor that the order was correct, and his contact lenses would be
on the way.

Lenses - Advice
When ordering contact lenses, remember that you should never
order from anyone who does not confirm your prescription with your
eye doctor. You should never use lenses that are expired, and you
should never get them from someone who gives them to you with no
questions asked. Contact lenses are something that you put right on
your eye, and you should never take any sort of chance when it
comes to your eye health. Always make sure you are
orderingcontactlenses from a reputable source so that you do not
inflict any damage to your eyes.
If you have problems ordering
contact lenses through an online web site, you may have to
stick with ordering them to your doctor. This may be the best idea
if you need specialty lenses anyway. Just remember that ordering
contacts should not take six weeks as is often the case with some
eye doctors. In most cases, contacts order to your eye doctor
should come within two weeks. If they do not, you may want to
consider ordering contact lenses from someone else. Though it is
important to have the correct lenses, it is just as important that
you get the updated versions if your prescription has changed as
soon as possible.
